Post subject:  Foot Pedals - Diamond or Square

So i have this Mini K Van 1/71

I have a box of spare parts. And i have two sets of pedals. Both the same frame, and both the same shape, length etc.

BUT

One has square pedals, and one has diamond pedals. My 75 Mini S has the diamond pedals in it. This Mini K, has the same doors as the S, and alot of similar features.

So, Diamond or Square.

It would have been square originally and the rubbers stay on these better too.

All (I think) Clubby pedals were diamond shape.
When I converted my `matic to a manual (1310S) I cut down a Clubby clutch pedal to be square.
Clubbies are a good source of roundy parts...

Nah you can't use the roundy pedals in a GT, you'd have to weld crap onto them so they're diamond shaped... :P

Anyhow there's heaps more dead Clubbies than Coopers, most of em built at Enfield without the rotodip are self-destructing already.

The pedals went from square to diamond about 1974 or 75. The square one were fitted to the clubbies including GT's.
