As i have taken the rattly bastard of a heater unit out of the car, as a part of rego it is a requirment that you have a blower to blow on the windscreen for defrosting in cold weather.

What i am looking for is a barrel type fan that is the same diameter as the flexible cardboard hoses (i use plastic vaccum hoses).

What i would like is to put the fan inline with the hoses so that it is hidden behind everything.

I seem to recall someone on this forum saying that they used a couple of computer fans, and it passed rego. I reckon you might be able to get some from jaycar or somewhere similar.

Or you could get some model aircraft jet engines and BLAST THE WINDSCREEN!

You could try something like this:

After a bit of trimming this may suit?

Cut off the handle and relocate the switch.

Mick has a small engine that heats at the same time, you may want to check that one out.

im a systems administrator, im sure i have a box of them lying around here in my office. i was hoping to find something a bit more robust, like a proper tube fan. Ive been looking but havent found anything really suitable in 12V

hair dryer insides might be a great idea, put them inside a bit of pvc piping of the correct size.
