When the painters put my right hand tank back in a couple of years ago, they didn't push the neck through far enough and it makes it hard to put the cap back on. I have loosened the bolt on the strap to try and push it back through, but it wont budge. Is there something I'm missing? What is stopping it? |

If the hole is in the wrong place or the neck on the tank is not facing the right way, that will hold it in. |

Well that is quite possible. It is not a genuine factory hole, and the tank is a converted LH tank. I will have to loosen it again and have another fiddle. I didn't really have time when I did it. |

when first installed they had carpet underlay underneath them, this raised them up almost a centimetre. i have the same issue with my left hand tank, i had rubber under it, but when i did my rear shocks i forgot to put the rubber strip back in. Im just too lazy to be bothered with it at the moment other things to do.
