being in the territory things dont rust, but geez does plastic break down and go brittle.

im trying to put the tank back in the van, and noticed its held in place by 6 plastic lugs that you screw into. These were so brittle that they fell apart.

havent had serious good look yet, but whats the best way to mount this tank. are there threads under the plastic lugs, or are the plastic lugs threaded.

They are a pressed in 'clip' that the self tappers thread in to. There are similar looking ones holding yr head lights in, but smaller. They go in to a square hole.

well dammit they just fell into a zillion pieces, i need three of the rear ones, and i think the three front ones are ok. plastic goes so brittle here in the desert.

Try an appliance repair shop. I know Hoover used to use them in the washing machines :wink: They are available as a new part if you luck out.
