I get the motor out of the 30 year non registered car.

Its blue, its a 9Y 1100 motor. everyone tells me it should be a 10YJ, but everything on the car is telling me this is the original motor. it only had 9 years on the road, so someone could have done a full replacement.

BUT i cracked paint, the engine mounts cracked paint off both the sub and the motor. what makes me happy though is A100 on the wok and the clutch housing. the crank and flywheel have matching numbers. The diff housing and the gearbox have matching numbers. My Mini S which is also original, didnt have any of these numbers stamped on it.

so everything is original as far as the motor is concerned. whether its the one originally in the car im not sure, but its certainly looking that way.

im going to go to NT MVR and try and get some info on its history.

YAY thought id share, becuase i care. :D :D :D :D
