Post subject:  ARP head studs

I have a friend who is going to the States next week and she is going to bring me back a set of ARP head studs.

I have found the 11 stud set is way cheaper than the 9 stud head for some reason.
Off course my car only has 9 studs.

My question is what the difference between the two sets

Obviously there are two additional studs of which one should be smaller as per the Cooper S
my guess is the other 10 should be standard Mini.

Can anyone tell me if I am correct?

There is an ARP set for shaved heads, the studs are slightly shorter than the normal set. This set tends to be a little cheaper, so maybe a set of these. Ask the supplier.

Thanks

I have emailed a couple of suppliers they don't seem too interested in a one off sale to somewhere in the pacific.

I am only really keen as the postage is free.

SK: I agree the 11 stud set should have the 9 I need for my car (to late too drill the addtional stud holes as engine has been assembled)

The 11 stud kit is about $25 Usd cheaper that the 9 stud set..

Part numbers:
206-4201 9 stud
206-4204 11 stud
206-4206 11 stud shaved head

Hi got a reply from ARP

"The kits contain the same studs, however the 206-4204 uses two additional 3/8” studs that are 4.250” long"

So 11 stud set can be subsituated for the 9 Stud set
