ok guys just to clear this up i have standard wheel cylinders on the back of my brakes and i got 7.5 disk brakes on the front reco master cylinder do i have to put the smaller wheel cylinders on the back to get better brakes or i should have good brakes dont matter which size i run at the back |

In my experience, it will lock the backs up under heavy braking. This is bloody dangerous in wet weather on a freeway,as I found out on the F3... ![]() If I'm fitting ANY front discs I'd fit new 5/8 rear wheel cyls at the same time. ![]() |

The brake pedal should develop pressure with less travel with 5/8th on the back (making it "feel" better). And as drmini suggested it can be dangerous without the right size as i found out as well. |

Nope... Just means you don't have to push the pedal as hard for the same braking effort. |

It matters which is at the back! S brakes need S rear cylinders as per Doc's post. If not, 360 or 720 under hard braking... |

When I first got my car, I had a different sized cylinder on each side ![]() ![]() As the others say, you need the smaller size. |

Also don't forget to adjust your rear brakes |
