Hi, does anyone know who makes "seaweed discs"? a few people have used them on here, but i can't seem to find them ![]() |

wurth, norton, and 3M spring to mind. Norton call them "rapid strip discs", some call them clean and strip discs. If you cant find them, try calling them one of the other names. Someone will eventually know what your talking about. ![]() |

Thanks Mic, Just looked at the norton ones on their web site. They seem to be made of the same stuff or similar to the polishing "discs" on the industrial floor polisher i used to use (spongy, fibreglass kind of thing) 3m call theirs a "clean n strip roloc disc" |

Theyre all pretty much the same. And they come in differrent grades with some suppliers too. Wurth have black and purple, I think purple for the fine grade, and black for the coarse grade, or vice versa. If you've never used them before, then just remember to let the disc do the work. If you apply too much pressure, apart from pushing a dent in the panel ![]() Keep the disc moving to help the cooling. |

thanks Mic, had a look at the local hardware store today....no wonder i've never seen them before, they didn't have them ![]() off to fleabay for me! also "brumby" a sub brand under josco make them, called a clean & strip disc for those interested |
