gday! just a quickie for you people that have dealt with a rusty battery box! is there an easy way of getting the old one out without damaging the boot floor?? the only way i can see how to do it is attack the braze welds with an angle grinder... any thoughts? cheers! |

What I did is get a 100mm grinder with a metal grinding disk on it. Grind along the edges where the box drops down from the boot. Go along all four sides and the old box will just drop out. You can clean up what is left on the top with the grinder and put in the new box. I sealed mine (to keep dust out) and just put a few tack welds in to make it easier next time! |

get a spot weld drill bit and drill out all of the spot welds |
