what do you think of this guys.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 1179wt_941

reckon it would fit & would it work?

I was thinking of relocating to a front mount, ditching the yellow fan but using the manual water pump while using a thermo fan instead.

if i run some pipe to that would it be to long for the water to travel?

and if the pipes are a bit thinner would it restrict it?

im trying to find out the in-outlet size in mm but all I have is 3/4

anyone know the mini's pipe size.

The ~97 on Mini's were fitted with a front radiator. It is a fair bit of work to fit one, but would be less than that one.

But, why change?

cant offer any advice ther than outlet is ~19mm (1 inch = 25.4mm so 0.75x25.4 = 19.05)

looks pretty simple. mount, run new pipes? have a switch to turn the fan on?

I could buy a MPi rad even Easier?

I'm still running a mechanical water pump though.

i want to move my aircon condensor where the rad would be.

neater looking set up & re pipe my aircon is all.

little bit of shifting around really.

Where are you going to move the compressor too?
I'd leave the regular radiator in. Ditch the fan and put an electric one in behind it if you must, but nothing wrong with mechanical fans.
:D

move the condensor where the rad was* will fit i checked & run some new pipes.

then use a front mount Rad MPi with a overflow tank with a pressure cap with a electric fan.

that was my thinkings lol

My car runs too cold in winter as it is... People who have problems with cooling need to redistrip their blocks to get the rust out, after replacing their radiator with a new one... JMHO

PRistic runs a very hot 1100 turbo and doesn't have a need for a front mounted radiator, not sure why everyone else needs one? :)

So in other words, this:

Looks crap. Looks even more cluttered than what you're trying to ditch.
You have to keep the compressor on the engine but have it backwards to the mounts will be a bitch, and if you haven't hacked you radiator shroud out it'll have to go.

Will make engine in / out harder.

The only reason late Minis in UK got the front rad, was to meet drive-by noise regulations.
Waste of time doing it for any other reason. If you do, your carby is then getting warm air not cool = less HP.

So NG, do you intend to move the "compressor" or the "condenser"? condenser being the air-con's little radiator. Moving all this stuff around is in my opinion too much hassle for too little gain.

If you really want space that bad, just ditch the a/c all together
