The tricks people use:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Have a look at the single posted question at the bottom of the page - a clubby on ebay - he must have gotten a dozen questions but he chooses to only make this one public.
An "expat who just moved to Australia", "Please let me know if you have not found a suitable buyer by then so that we can negotiate a purchase" - yea right.

I'm sure that it worked and now there's a frenzy of bidding to beat this wealthy "expat" with a handy 10k to the mark.

It is worth what he wants but no one will be willing to pay for it. If the engine is what he says it is that along would be 5-6k to build. He has pent the money and he wants some of it back. Can't blame him really. Now if it was a round nose i wonder if peoples opinions might change.... Just a thought.... don't get upset now.

Cheers

He definitely has it listed elsewhere - and for 500 less!!

For sure the money has been poured into it but realistically you would be dreaming to recoup the costs of rebuilding a car from scratch - a recent so-called "cooper S" being sold privately in QLD for $23k then subsequently finding out that it was a mini K!! Needless to say the would be seller scurried under a rock when he was found out(an older country gent caught the 18yo out after bombarding him with questions...lol).

Sorry - I again put the soapbox away. Geez this closet needs some more light!!

Oh I'm not arguing whether its worth the price - I'm just questioning the slightly lame attempt at posting a question from an "expat" that he probably wrote himself - so as to make potential buyers scared that the car will be gone in 2 weeks and start a bidding frenzy now.

That "inquiry" just glares at you as fake and contrived.
