Can anyone out there tell me which green the MK1 Cooper S motor was painted in, in England, when fitted to UK sold cars. Ive read the colour referred to as "English Green" "Forest Green" and "Middle Bronze Green 223" I know BMC used this last colour on a number of engines in their range but have never read conclusivly that it was used on MK1 S engines My guess is its the same colour that the engines were shipped to Australia in for assembly into Aus built cars before being resprayed the metalic light green |

I have the paint code for the "850" green if you need it. (I had it matched to a original painted rocker cover) ![]() |
