How well did it corner? How easy was it to park? How fuel efficient was it? How cheap are parts for it? Don't get me wrong I like V8 power (I got one) and that sound but the mini is better  because we can prove mini's are capable of beating the V8's

i take it for granted that most young guys here have never driven aussie muscle before The 351 cleveland would have to be the leader of the pack behind the 350 chev. gee i miss the smell of super fuel and burnt BF goodrich rubber |

Nah, it was the brother'in'laws... they were moving house. as for handling i'd assme woeful it was a ute fully loaded towing a trailer. steering? dreadful an xf poorly converted to rack and pinion. consumption, straight gas so i reckon would be ok for a 5.8litre... minis for me! |

At the time it was one of the most Australian car being built in design and parts built both in Australia (take that Folden) and with 192bhp and weighing 1260kg it has a decent power to weight ratio plus it's got good handling and brakes .

And their wind screens fall out and they blow up in fire balls and their gear box's fall out if their is a bunny rabbit in front of them 
Don't believe all the negative hype you hear about a car especially when it's their competition fueling the wirl wind
To be honest I've never heard the rust one until now  . Although I did hear that Bini's were rusting out with in 12 months and let's not forget the problems the 850 mini had when it was 1st launched.
Every car has teething troubles. Leyland Australia could still be in operation today if British Leyland hadn't ordered them to be shut down, they had the products, ability and drive to out perform all their rivals. End rant. |

P76---> he First Australian designed & built car with rack & pinion steering & the first Aust built car with Macpherson strut front end,,, the Force-7 being the first Aust produced Hatch-back I love P76`s, great for sex in the boot,,, on the boot, on the bonnet, on the roof, anywhere really,,, room for the whole orgy
I still have about 12x alloy V8 engines sitting here,,, i`ll make one of em into a coffee table one day

I love it when you see the blokes in our club bangin sh!t loads of fuel in their muscle cars just to go for a half day run somewhere, whilst i might only need $15 worth of fuel . Don't get me wrong i still love a big cranky V8. |
