I'm getting rid of the heater out of my Clubby, and therefore don't need the heater switches anymore. Do you reckon I could move the headlight/windcreen washer/windcreen wiper (3) switches onto the dash to the right of my triple guage set (accessing them with my right hand)? Then I thought I could mount a CD player where the switches used to be. Any thoughts? |

I don't use mine either. It's just in the way, visually more than anything. I open the windows when it's hot, and put on a jumper when it's cold. |

Dunno about in WA, but in NSW and Vic you have to have a heater and demister from 1971?? If you have annual roadworthy checks this could be a hassle. ![]() |

I live in WA. I don't have annual rego/roadworthy checks. Notice comes in mail that rego is due. I pay it online. I get the sticker in the mail. Done. That's the glory of living in WA. |

Same in Vic - you only need a roadworthy when you sell a car registered, or Mr Policeman awards you with a nice yellow sticker. ![]() So glad I don't live in NSW anymore for that reason - taking off the weber and fitting the standard carb and pollution gear back on the old Gemini every year drove me nuts! |

LOL! We don't even need a roadworthy when you sell your car registered. You only need one if you are silly enough not to renew the rego. Even then, they give you at least 2 weeks after the final due date (grace period) before rego is cancelled. |

I thought something like this would be cool. NOTE: The steering wheel is only red so I can see where it sits better. And no, it's not all to scale, but you get the idea. ![]() |

Yeah, well that can be changed. The centre speaker was only if I wanted to go stupid and get 5.1 surround. |

i've always thought the gap on the passenger side would be good for a cd stacker - if you could get one that fit there nicely. would be handy so you werent having to contort to change cds around. also, could you just move the heater controls to somewhere else also? if you permanently left it on screen and heat, all you would need is an on/off switch. you could then investigate options from other cars that might fit better/be more hidden? |

I'd just buy a hard drive player. To hell with CDs! Yeah, I'm still not sure at this stage. I'll draw up one later whcih is to scale. |

Cool Dash ![]() I removed my heater from my 71 Mini K and had no problems getting it through rego (twice). Quaterlights work great as demisters too. The amount of leg room gained and the over look is well worth being cold. |

There should be no problems with moving the switches at all. I'm moving my headlights, wipers, and washers to the steering column. |
