New to the mini scene, just wondering if anyone has or can do a run down on the variation between models.

I have a 67 deluxe (i think!) and would be interested to know what other model variants were available at the time and what distinguished them apart.

1967

mini delux- as you have got

mk 1 cooper S = twin carbs, twin fuel tanks, disc brakes, electric fuel pump, brake booster, larger and worked motor, slightly different suspension set up, (possibly flairs), I think wider wheels

moke- Dont know much about it

panel vans, and Mini Minor was around in '67 too - poverty pack model

I suggest you get a copy of "Mini Minor Down Under" - can buy new from the mini experience, pitstop, and occasionally 2nd hand from ebay. There are a few errors in it, but goes over the history of the aussie minis and is a very good read

No, it was the Cooper S that was also available in '67. The Cooper finished here in 64/65.

69 to 71: Morris Mini 1100 "K", Morris Cooper S Mk2, Morris Mini 1100.
71 to 72: Mini Clubman, Clubman GT, Mini 1100.
72 to 76: Leyland Mini, Leyland Mini S.
76: Leyland Mini, Leyland Mini S. Leyland Mini SS.
77: Leyland Mini, Leyland Mini S. Leyland Mini LS.
78: Leyland Mini, Leyland Mini S. Leyland Mini LS, Leyland Mini 1275LS.

Plus vans and Mokes. (and anything else I have forgotten!)

There was also some models like the Sports 850 and Mini Sunshine that were based on existing models and didn't have separate model codes.

You forgot the Mighty Mini Matics!!
Boo hoo, everybody forgets those. The poor black sheep of the Mini family (but they haul ass with a 1412 manual up front.)
