Hi all,

where abouts is the swtich for the reversing lights in an LS1275? what colour are the wires?? i have a owners manual but it makes no reference to the reversing lights and after taking my engine out i now have no reversing lights

It's a mushroom-shaped switch that protrudes from the front of the gearbox directly below the alternator. If the grille is in place you'll need to look up from under the front of the car.

EDIT: Sorry, just realised that if yours has a rod-change gearbox the switch will bo on the gearbox extension as Morris 1100 says in that thread above.

Green and black mate, they hide on the front panel under the grille on the alt side, they have 2 spade connectors on em that join to the loom that runs back to your gear selector. Thats how veras go and shes got working rev lights :D

yay reverse lights! had it all wired up correctly (by fluke and nothing more as they were the only wires remaining unconnected) must of just had a dirty connection.
