As far as I know , its all original, I dont remember what the ID tags said , from memory people were allowed to order an SS in other Leyland colour's for a few $$ more , it would be interesting to find out how many were ordered in a different color to Standard.

From the ME mag i think it said only available in two colours (ages since i read it) because it was a very limited edition car.

But having in different colour for a certain model would be a thing that leyland would do i reckon, given the amount of other things they were willing to do.

Am Eye Blue was earlier 75/76, Squadron Blue was later 77/78 and the better color

Metallic Nutmeg and Omega Navy from memory (mine was Metallic Nutmeg). The colours looked great when freshly washed and polished. The compliance plate will tell whether it is genuine or not since a lot of the SS features could be ordered as dress up bits for the ordinary S and of course most bits could be transferred easily from a crashed/rusted out SS to an ordinary clubbie.

looking at that picture, I can see two pinstripes along the side. Now Inside my doors/body I can see two pinstripes but painted over. removed from outside of the body but the parts that folded around are still there.
Coincidence?? mines a clubby S though
