The dan pin that holds the rod change in
Has popped out! Stuck in 4th gear lol

Does this happen often? Is there a easy fix.

I have got the car towed to my gf's in clevland qld.

If there is any one who can help me fix it Monday or sunday arvo ?
would be great!

What about put a nut and bolt through it? To get me home?

just to get it home, put in a nail or something thats a close fit and bend the ends down.
at home fit a new pin, should be a tight fit and never come loose on its own, but you may run a lenght of wire through it and drill the ends together

YEP this is dead right... do exactly this. The wire just ensures that it wont fall out ever again... about a 5 minute job really...

im suprised you couldn't tell it was on its way out, your gear stick would have had massive amounts of movement than it should getting worse over the last few months...

Some of our gear sticks have massive amounts of movement anyway. Perhaps that's something I'll check on mine. I've never driven a mini except for mine - I'm not sure what it should feel like

yep, theres always massive amounts, however there is a certain amount acceptable I would have to say..

My 1380 rod change I rebuilt, all the linkages etc, and changed the roll pin, and its tight as hell now :D

It's odd it is all new. New pins was tight as he'll.
No play, it's just poped out.

The back pin poped out not the front one
That links to the engine.
