Hey all.

Can anyone here tell me if a early 70s leyland clubman gt 3pod instrument cluster will fit in my 76 clubby also with a 3pod cluster? I ask as there is one on ebay atm :P

No, no difference in fit , the printed circuit board might be different , there was someone on Ausmini making replacements , from memory the GT tacho goes round to 8,000 and the Mini S ( 1100 ) went round to 7,000

One thing to be careful of from memory is the speedo cable. The real early cables screwed on, the late models "clipped" on. No great drama if you're prepared to change the cable if necessary.

The one on ebay is WRONG!!! GT ones redline at 6500 where as clubman ones redlined at 5500.

Just trying to milk all he can from it.

Yes and early clubmans had screw speedo cable and later leyland mins had clip on.

Yeah snail i dont recall there being a difference in the uppermost rev limit.

What it is supposed to look like:

ALthough i did think the speedos between clubman and Gt was different. But going by Snalls they mustn be. I thought they maxed out at different speeds

GTmowog will know when he sees this.

But those speedos came in other cars as well (i think the marina)

Isnt the roundie speedos that differ, where as clubby speedos are all the same?

There were a few different diff ratios used so not all the same inside the speedo head.
1098/remote box had a 3.647 diff, the 998/rodchange box had a 3.44.
Oz Clubby GT was a 3.44 also.
