Some 3.5x10" std. wheels do actually fit over the S brakes. But not all... Hmm - unless the Aussies wheels are different to the european ones (wouldn't be the first time

Someone with S brakes near you to try if they clear? Would take 5 minutes of wheel swapping and you'd know for sure

Cheers,

It is a lottery. The 850/998/1098 and original Cooper wheels are more likely to fit with genuine Lockheed S calipers than some of the aftermarket ones.
There were 3 different 3.50Bx10 wheels fitted to Minis in Oz (and UK)
1. Thin centres, rivetted to the rim. Used on 1961-62 850s here. Most are broken by now (including one that did so with me in the car at speed...)
2. Thick centres, rivetted to the rim. 1962-64?
3. Thick centres, spot welded to the rim. 1964?- 1978
I'm not sure of the changeover date from 2-3, or whether the round headed rivets (in the well) would affect fitment.
