Just thought id share.

Went out the west mcdonald ranges outside alice springs, theres been a lot of rain lately and it was a beautiful hot summers day, we decided to go to Ellery Creek about 90kms from Alice Springs.

The creek was fantastic, lounged around on a surf board, had lunch etc.

The exciting part, three of the rivers were running, i approached the first and it was only 2 inches deep, easily crossable. Moving along a good 20k's another creek had runover, about 4-5 inches deep. Again Easily Crossable.

Then about 60k's out of Alice, the Hugh River was up and it was crossing the roadway pretty deep. I had been across a fair few river crossings in the past year, but none this deep. At about 10 inches deep over a foot in parts, i stopped at the edge, hit first gear and crawled into the water.

YAY i made it through a decent sized crossing, a little water had leaked through the old seals on the doors, but the car crawled up the other side and back onto the highway.
