Hey all.

Has anyone here seen or know if it can be an issue of which the rear trailing arms are bent?

I ask because my clubby crabs to the left, and so today I finally got under it and whipped out the tape measure. I measured the frame and frame to body etc. all is spot on. and after fixing the wheel bearings which were loose
I had another look and realised that it is the RHR wheel thats pointing in (toeing in) about 10mm. And so i measure the trailing arms to the frame and all is good, So could it be possible that the hub/spindle it bent forwards slightly?

unusual that the right one is bent. did you hit something hard, a rock, a big pothole.

left hand ones tend to bend slightly from hitting gutters.

Hey tuff998, if you've got crabs you should get some medical attention! Nah, just kiddin'.........

Not unusual. They were never real good from the factory, most untouched minis I looked at crab. While it is fairly easy to get the rear toe in correct, from one side to the other, it actually needs to be set up using the centre line of the body to be correct and take the crabs away.

You can put shims in between the trailing arm bracket and the subframe on the RH side to reduce the toe in that it has.

But, if it has toe OUT on one side like mine did, with NO shims in, Houston we have a problem.
Fortunately some angle measurements and a bit of basic trigonometry allowed me to move the bracket hole forward and fix the problem.
