I called into the machine shop to see how thing where going and he had been waiting for me. He had picked out the best 4 rods out of 8 i gave him (oval bigends) but they are 2 different pairs so i had to take them to another machine shop for balancing, before he fits the pistons. Should i be getting the crank balanced too? The pistons will be new.

Balancing crank is not a bad idea but you will probably find it's pretty close now. BMC didn't do a bad job, usually.
