. From memory you can only fit the standard air box to the HIF44, not to an HS6 as the bolt pattern for the filter/air horn is different, and air horns to suit the Mini filter are only available for the HIF44, not the HS6. |

I,ll find out once I get more into it I just used Simons SU needle chart and the RH fixed needle is a better needle than the BBZ recommended . |

can you post a few more pics up on the manifold? i just got the minispares HIF44/HIF6 manifold and it looks identical to your one, I have put it with a HIF6 on a pretty much stock 1275 and its running pretty well, bit rich but still sorting needles out, I will confirm what needle i am running and come back to you. as for the CFM i have no idea. as for the CFM i have no idea. Grant When I say I got my hands on, well not actually its being delivered so can't get you a better picture, as far as I know the difference between the MiniSpares and Avonbar is the the height of the dash pot screw/plug once fitted, the Avonbar is supposed to be lower to clear the bonnet with a HIF44 fitted . |

I've used both in the past, and don't remember a height issue with either. Seems to be the type of thing I'd remember! |

No, there is no real height issue, its more how close to the firewall is the jet of the HS6 if its sits lower on a manifold for a HIF44, if you get what I mean The RH fixed needle I mentioned is a lean needle for a Triumph Spitfire running twin HS6,s when compared on Simons chart to the recommended BBZ needle for a 1275 Mini the RH fixed needle is better . |

I just plotted it against an OA6 (which seems to always work well in an HS6/1275 combo)- it's the same gradient but a little richer than the OA6. |

OA6 ? I,ll add that to the list , is that a fixed needle ? Have you seen any flow rates for the Avonbar manifold ? . |

OA6 is what GR fits 1st up on dyno runs and 9/10 times it's perfect. It's a Healey 3000 needle I think and yes, it's fixed. Nope not seen the Avonbar one but my new Minispares one looks same as your pic. BTW I'm putting a 20mm thick alloy spacer on it, then I'll blend the spacer into the manifold entry for better flow. I'll flow test it when finished. ![]() |

![]() 20mm alloy spacer ? I,ll put that on the list as well . |

I've made the spacer 25mm thick, I'll machine it thinner if I have to (filter is only a Ramflo/Unifilter foam). |

20mm alloy spacer ? I,ll put that on the list as well . The standard air filter assembly might fit with a 20 mm spacer, but not much else will, I think. I've got a K&N cone filter on my 998 with a minipsport inlet which looks like yours. I originally left the spacer on, but I had to remove the sound insulation to fit it, and the original spacer is only 1/2" I think. Without the spacer it's still pretty tight. |

Looks much the same as my Minispares manifold. Here it is with the 20mm spacer. I got it in there with it 25mm, but the jet was too close to the firewall, = no choke. Working fine now 20mm thick. Needle is an OA6, with yellow spring. |
