Got the shell into the shed and up on stands.

Managed to find some time over the weekend to get a couple of bits bolted back on - drop link for steering and rear subframe.

Shouldn't take long now should it?!

Subframe was tight with the underseal!

Next job - fitting the rear KAD arms...which weight about 7 kg each with disks by the way!

gee it'd be nice to crawl around under that with the living room rug there, and comfy enough to fall asleep

Did you remember to put some matting/foam in between the subframe & boot floor? I remember years ago when a friend was rebuilding his Mini and forgot ... it took him a while to figure out where a rear-end knock was coming from

I used to do that at my old place in the Blue Mountains when working on my HQ.
Till I set fire to the rug with the extractors while running the motor.

Colour is:

Holden GM Impulse Blue Effect
987K
Dupont stock code X0372

Rug was in the living room. Wife swapped it out for another one so I thought "straight to the shed". I must admit it makes it comfy when working under the car.

I did build a Triumph 750 once in my bedroom when I was 19 - AND I painted the frame!! Parents had given up by that stage :D

Can't wait until I get more bits bolted on....
