I would use KMX from KMart if it were mine. Change every 5000km. Not sure what you 'should' use, but I doubt it would be too far removed from the low cost KMX.

HPR30 or Castrol Edge (can't remember if it's 20 or 25 w50) are other options.

I use KMX in my 1275 SPI. had no issues :D

No, Mini autos here could run 10W/30, 10W/40 or 20W/50.
No probs with KMX 20W/50, or Valvoline etc 20W/50. Use oils rated SG or lower. later oils have no ZDDP in them (is needed to prevent cam and lifter wear).

[edit] I'd change your oil and filter every 2500km (1500 miles) in an auto. Dirty oil is the main thing that buggers these boxes before their time.

It even works great on the dyno in BDAs at 9000+ rpm.. 8)

I dont do 2,500km in a year..!!! Its all emptied and changed every 6 months.

I change my KMX every 1500mi in my manual. When it's this cheap, why wouldn't you? :D

(we'll ignore the fact that blow-by turns it black in my engine pretty quickly)
