I just went to stick my box on to the engine and went to trial fit the gasket on to the gear box. Should the gasket allow clearance so the o-ring can be fitted mine dosn't of course. or do you fit teh o-ring and then the gasket on top Ta Kiwiinwgtn |

Fit the O-ring first then the gasket. I do them upside down, with the gaskets on the block- it's easier to drop the box onto the motor than vice versa. And less chance the 1/2 moon front seal will get dislodged. |

so the gasket dosn't sit flat then ..due to it sitting on the o-ring |

True. It does though, when the bolts are tightened. I stick a smear of HMP grease in the hole for the O-ring to hold it in place so it doesn't fall out. |

some of those half moon seals can be a pain, the orange ones fit better but are harder to locate, the black ones seem to fit better but when everythings bolted together they never locate properley. and dont lose the o ring, youll lose oil pressure which is bad. |
