Post subject: | Clutch/Hydraulics Upgrade |
Hi All. I was chasing a pointer towards what can be done to make the clutch in the 1275LS a bit lighter on the knee. I know they are not that heavy but I have a cranky left knee and a wife who isn't keen on manuals. So, is there anything I can do with the master and slave cylinders to make the clutch lighter and keep it positive. As far as I can tell, the clutch is in pretty good nick. The slave cylinder isn't leaking but the boots look pretty old. The slave pushrod is also looking a bit tired so I am guessing a new slave is in order. I do recall seeing some discussion along these lines but I couldn't find it. Advice specific to the 1275LS would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ausmini is awesome ![]() |

i guess you would be looking at a lighter compression diaphram, but dont get dumping the clutch with one of the lighter ones. |

I guess I was looking at changing the hydraulics so a heavy duty setup would feel ok on the pedal. It is a stock 1275 (I assume, I've never had the head off) with a HS6. It goes pretty well so I dont think putting a lighter duty plate setup in would be too clever on my part. I'd forget one day and break it for sure ![]() So, larger MC? Same size slave? Ideas? |
