Be very very careful send a car that way. I have heard many many horror stories. There are also a few on other forums if you do a search.

If you do send it, be sure it is insured (by you, not the transport company), but for that kind of money, you could hire a truck and take it yourself, be about the same costs.

You just think , i 'll put you in the picture quickly Diesel @ 1.48.9 cents per litre, OR BETTER , going to the NT from Qld your freight would be on a B-double or road train doing 1.5 km per litre or less, + your freight takes up at least 8 pallets places over half a trailer . If you can get freight cheaper why are you asking?

So your answer is no, you don't know anyone that can do it cheaper than $2600.

DRNCOOPERS Could Probably tell you what the costs of runningn these Trucks cost but i know from my little trucks, i was Paying close to $1.00 a KM and thats only for a 4 and a 4.5 tonne truck. Our B-doubles Tankers we're running at the moment have an economy of about 1.5 km / lt if that of Diesel Loaded! If you can work out the Km there and back if he doesn't have a backload and work out the Fuel then add about $8000 a year for rego and a crap load for insurance plus wages you might get a realistic cost for getting it over there!

Have fun!

5 years ago I got two non running minis from port macquarie to brisbane for $800. Now i think about it, that wont help you at all will it? I phoned around and stayed clear of the big players. I had never heard of the company that did the job, and did the job they did. Not a drama, not a scratch. Shop around and good luck.

That should be pretty easy, they should be able to strap it to a pallet and top load it.

Can everyone else that is not helping please go and start a thread in the appropriate area.
