Post subject:  Back to front cam bearing...

I've just been checking the cam bearings the machine shop pushed in for me. The first and second are fine, however the third looks like it is back to front. I believe it is supposed to take a little bit of the oil from the pump to lubricate the bearing via the small cut made in the bearing.

Will a similar cut taken with a fine file on the oil pump side suffice to correct the mistake?

Is there a particular direction I would place the cut (12 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 3 o'clock etc)?

It is back to front, but not all rear bearings had this notch. Nor do 1275 ones.
The whole back of the cam is full of oil from the bleed hole in the pump, I would not worry about it.
