Hey all, I'm after a door and/or rear pocket trim to use as patterns for new ones I wish to make from door card material and MG black vinyl. Would anyone have one spare, or could do a rough sketch with the vital measurements? Most of the stuff with mini trims is intuitive, but first one must know the original shape. thanks Mick |

mate good time to ask the old bloke down the road is selling his CooperS and gave me his patterns for pocket liners.. have a few rear cards too so i will sort some pics and measurements for ya... can you pm me am email addy to sent it to edit wooops i see you have an addy there... will get an email off to you on sat |

Wow, that's great. They are one of those items you don't see very often anymore. I once used to have them lying around the garage by the half dozen. Them and door cards. I now cringe when I think that I used to use good door cards for mats to lie on when working under the car. ($400 dollars the repro set when I last checked) Thanks again! Mick |

I am in Castle Hill. If it's the outline of the door cards and rear cards you need, my inlaws have a set of rear cards you can copy from. Also dash trim...for an 850/Deluxe though. |

I've nutted out the door trims, it's the pocket liners I'm the keenest on. I could simply make a trial set out of poster card and adjust them to fit, but would like to get these parts as accurate as possible as I haven't seen what a genuine set looks like in years. Maybe a sticky detailing the finsihed cards would be helpful once I'm done. I'm pretty sure that most mini's get by without these but they are simple to make yet so expensive to buy. |

might be easier to post this here.. then anyone else can have there say too.. i actually went out to the garage b4 and stuck this card into the pocket and its a snug fit, also its non symetrical so the other side will be the same but upside down.. will add some text to explain that which i wrote crapily or is a bit odd...

ok all measurements in millimeters.... no time for imperial stuff LOL the width at the hinge line to the astray top is 120 and the ashtray top is 88 long at its longest part which is 45 from the face as shown.. you will also see i have continued the hinge line form the bottom sections flap on into the upright bit by use of a dotted line, the gap between the ashtray hinge and where the dotted line would end up is 11

ok noticed i didnt give a measure from the ashtray hinge to the ashtray hole... its not square on this pattern ..its 21 at the bottom and 24 at the top noting that what im calling the ashtray hinge is the cut/fold that is the bend.. |

btw all measurements are along the actual cut/fold lines... this may make the explaination about continuing the bottoms fold line along with a dotted line... its probably more acurate than using a protractor and giving an angle, then you trying to duplicate it.. there is also another dotted line continuing the opposite sides cut/fold line into the bit that comes up the rear wheel arch..the distance of 4.5 offset between the dotted line, and the edge..youll see that in the last pic.

last of these exciting pics.LOL.... the lower edge is straight inline with the cut/fold line on the bottom section..the 4.5 is at the end of the dotted line at the end of the template.. not too sure why it has that foldy bit at the end.. but if you make one like this it will fit well, snug without rattling and will be pretty dam close to right.. you may want to fine tune it a little but its a good starting point.. it posibly could be improved around the ashtray flat if anything... good luck let us know how you get on..

These images are superb, just what I've been after. I bought a 4 sq. Meter board of upholstery card from Daley's AMU Supplies in Parramatta for 53 dollars a sheet. Simple to cut with a stanley knife but very tough to cut with scissors. They also had 4500 meters (  OMG! ) of two types of MG black as well at 16 or 17 dollars a meter depending on which type you were after.
This'll make a champion set of pockets I reckon. Thanks! Mick |

part number for a black pair is HYA3792/3...also come from the shops in blue and green at least...(different colour different number) |
