I believe Mr Vizard said that the best length for a inlet manifold for a 'A' series was about 7" from butterfly to valve. I have used these twin 1.1/2" bike carbs but I recon these should increase the air velocity a bit more. 8.1/4" center to center. standard bike set-up ![]() the long version and still fit under a round nose bonnet and clear the fire wall. ![]() ![]() |

Is the alloy part of the manifold cast or did you machine it? Do you reckon these carbies will give a Webber a run? And Dave, I take it the house renovations are done now that you're back in the shed? ![]() |

![]() Isn't it annoying how things like house renovations, work, wives and other distractions take us away from what we like and must do? |

simon do you want to run a pair 1.3/4" carbs. they and 2" ones were fitted to the honda "V" twin bikes MG rocket. the manifold bits are all machined out of 6061 alloy and the 1.1/2" tube shrunk fitted into the block. And house reno's have been non existant ever since I came back from newcastle in june. I have had a fun time dealing with a father with alzheimers and a mother with dimentia and my mother inlaw with dimentia thrown in for good measure. every day some drama and running around. One thing I will say about the whole episode is if you are in the same prediciment with parents ,make sure that 5 years before they have to go into care that they have disposed of ALL their assets and book them in about 2-3 years before hand and wait until some old duck falls of the perch. I got caught out and the Govt has set up all aged care with private care homes. I just used all my superannuation and had to take out another morgage after paying it off to get all 3 into care and pay the govt assesment bonds they charge. about $600,000 worth. The stinking Govt has abolished death duties Ha HA HA, they get it before you snuff it if you loose your marbles. Well xmas at home then back to work full time. great so much for retirement |

OUCH!!! My grandma is losing it. Facing the same sort of process in the next few months I think. Still, living at home at until age 93, she's done pretty well. |
