Post subject: | Triple Clock Reno |
Hey Guys, Im looking to spruce up the triple clocks somewhat, ie change up the face plates behind them and lighting etc. First off has anyone changed the bulbs to led's ie something pretty coloured. Secondly for the actual face plates, has anyone got any templates in KM/H? all the templates I can find for customs are in MPH. Thirdly assuming I scan one a current plate and make a cool template from them, what would you recommend printing onto? Has anyone done anything similar with good results? Cheers |

Someone here did some neat faces on a printer a while back, I think it may have been Meeni. I will try the search.. |

Before you make some, have a look at Mini Spares (UK) they have quite a few different face plate sets. If you still want to print your own, I do them on clear sheets that are self adhesive, you need to do them with ink jet, however be aware that any printed ones will fade if in the sun for any an extened period. I have LEDs that are a straight swap for the originals. A little brighter and a lot whiter than the originals. |

I did these a few years ago, drew them in CAD and had them digitally printed onto vynil. Don't worry about what units the templates are in, if making your own you can change them (except for the odometer). I never got to a finished design, I abandoned them all together in favour of something else, but I proved what I wanted to do. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sorry to pull this thread back up but I bought a set of the gallileo gauge cover things as above however my gauges are a different style to those that are posted above and won't fit (the numbers are printed on the outer ring). What gauges am I looking for to make this work, im guessing they aren't clubman. |

You want to find a set of rover gauges, from about 85-96 build year, or 85-00 if you don't need the tacho. |

They're often referred to as Nippon Seiki gauges. They changed manufacturers for these. I bought a set off UK ebay and the magnolia faces from Minispares in the UK. My only issue is that they're not in KMH. There are small numbers around the face for KMH. If anyone has any good solutions for how to change these gauges to read in km, I'd be happy to hear them. |

If they are 110 mph you could just switch the face over to 180kmh ones from the site ousted above. Anyone selling rover gauges? |
