So they are Slowing it down, to make is safer.....
Its motorsport....

"CAMS is concerned about cars being modified to attain speeds well in excess of their original capabilities."

Maybe I'm missing somthing there....
Matt, does this mean the NewBLewBeast wont be running again ?
What about stweies Wonder twinkie ?

Enquiring minds need to know....

It has all come about because of the amatuerish way the CAMS affiliated car club ran some sprints a while back when that bloke in the Giocotto was killed. CAMS took allot of the blame, rightly so, they approved the sprints. This is why great sprints like Leyburn have been nobled.

The Judge (the legend lives on)... one of approx 10 of that car built cant recall if it was 7 or 11...anyway it was the aussie supercar.. didnt sound much like an aussie name.. nowhere near enough runoff area and i think he might have clipped a raised area mid track, possibly the staging area when they run the other way.. the car got airborn, so he had no show of stopping...... A tragic loss of life........

Well I guess if they knacker the Tassie Targa (sounds like it'll happen) we'll have to focus on the NZ Targa then.

Thats Todd alright..... went for a drive in his ute (pre Giocattolo days) when it was pumping out around 850-900 at the wheels. The craziest car i have ever been in was spinning tyres in top atr 100klmh on the old M1. An amazing guy, amazing mind for the improvement of the old holden block and the technology relating to twin turbo's. The the year he went around 1150 atw (ecu problems during horsepower heroes) at summernats with the giocattolo he went to an associates speed shop and the car was unofficailly dyno'd at over 1500atw . Was doing IT developent on the side when he passed away.

Was Cabin Groups Drag Combat series at Eastern Creek ,yep running it the wrong way down the main straight toward a concrete retaining barrier.
Todd passed the timing beam at over 250klmh, realized that he was going to have a few problems stopping, unfortunatly the drivers side brake locked, hit the small hut in the middle of the two lanes, got airborn as Jeff said.........the rest is history.

Amazing Guy, amazing legacy left for twin turbo v8 deleopment in Australia, amazing mind...................

RIP Todd Wilkes (The Judge)................ the legend lives on
