Alrighty.. just a thought. I might sit on the otherside of the fence to Danny, but I agree that balance is good.

So, there has been a large amount of support from people wanting to bring maxx back.. but we haven't heard (properly) how many don't want him back.

As I said the other night, Ausmini isn't a democracy... but for arguement sake, lets say it is..... how many "no" votes are there? This is just as important in gauging how welcome he actually is here.

Go for it 8)

Guys this isn't a trap or anything. I'm not trying to bait anyone (I don't think you'd care if I was). Like Tombo's thread please no fights or name calling crap, but lets have it... who doesn't want the guy back.

I'm not voting either way. The fact of the matter is, i don't care enough.

The reason I responded in the other threads was to show the good mods some much needed support. All they were doing was there job and plenty of people gave them poo.

Max broke the rules, he was, warned, he broke them again and he was banned. That's fairly black and white to me. I don't care if he was baited, he didn't show any self control and broke the rules of this forum.

In saying that, if he was let back in I would welcome him back in and whenever he did something that offended me, I would act with self control and ignore it, or take the matter up with him in a sensible way (as I have done with other forum members at times).

I don't really know what happened, I didn't follow it but I must say I was very interested to read the letter GTMowog submitted. The internet is an interesting thing, I have made a number of close friends on this forum but have never actually met them. We never really know the life behind the person writting posts on here and often I just assume they are the same as me and have a comfortable and fairly normal life. The story I read in the letter gave me an insight into the life of a person who has been down on his luck and knowing how much this forum is an important part of what he does have leads me to think he should have a chance to come back. The mini family is more than just a club, it is a way of life. We have our ups and downs but in the end we remember we are only here for a while and have to make the most of it.

That letter was only written and published as emotional blackmail to those who banned him. Using any kind of disability as an excuse for flying off the handle is pathetic and weak, no matter how genuine the disability. Sure the guy hasn't had an easy life, but then no one has, right? Not everyone feels the need to tell the entire bank of forum users about their personal life, and i'm sure that there are a lot of things that people don't know about a lot of forum users.
Blaming what he did on a disability and a drug problem just go to show that Max still hasn't taken responsibility for his actions.
Do we want people here who can't control themselves and them blame their inability to behave like a normal human being on something else?

Campaigning for votes through PMs hey Phat Kat?

I still don't understand the purpose of this thread, nor the other one.

There are some pretty indesputable facts at play here:
** When we sign up here, we agree to abide by the forum rules at all times
** Maxx decided to abide by some of those rules some of the time, and in direct contravention of them most of the time
** The moderators are charged with taking care of this place and have the power to delete posts and threads at their discretion - we agree to this when we sign up
** After years of picking fights, insulting other members, acting to inflame other members spamming threads and multiple warnings and temporary bans, max forced the moderators hand and they banned him permanently.
** Ausmini is not a democracy. We don't vote in moderators or vote on whether or not banned members should come back.

You could probably also assume that at this point the actions of the moderators have the support of Scott, the forum owner. I wonder if all this bullshlt would still be going on if Scott was still a regular poster here?

PK, you commented in your PM to me that your only concern is that Max was banned and others who you deem to be troublemakers haven't.
It's my contention that we shouldn't be allowing all the trash and crap and trouble makers and w4nkers back to run the forum into the ground - the place is better off without them. Encourage our moderators to keep the place clean and enjoyable and support them in improving the forum - don't try to cut their legs out from underneath them because you don't like the decision that was made (and one that doesn't directly affect you).

I said it somewhere else, but I'll say it again - if Max has an issue and fails to understand the consequences of his actions, he shoudln't be writing sob story letters to the forum trying to make excuses for his behaviour, he should be making contact with the moderators and Scott and pleading his case to them.
