Hi Norton, Gavin from Springwood Motorworld in the Blue Mountains has the speedster for sale for $15,000. He told me he brought the car from Ian whom built the speedster, and had it for sale on carsales.com. The speedster is a cooper body (according to Ian) with a supercharger setup. Ian said that he invested much time and effort to ensure that this speedster was properly setup, and importantly nice to drive. (Ian has been supercharger modifying mini's for 20+ years) It features a host of goodies and is a eyecatching rocket to drive, certainly very different toy. Gavin 0416 065 510 Cheers Chris |

Wouldn't be a bad buy really. Fair bit of body work in it! I saw it at Bathurst back in 2006?? when they had the Mini display/cruise of the track. Wow what an awesome experience that was ![]() |

At the 2009 Muster it showed very very good results on the Dyno too. I think it was best. It had quite a few horseys under that yellow bonnet. |

There is another one in Sydney... Green one. ![]() I looked into it originally when Ian first first had it for sale. He wanted $19,000 which he said covered about half what went into it. The engine is beautiful by looks and by specs. It does need a bit of tidying up in the interior. The whole back section lifts up for a boot area but thats a little rough as well. (by rough i mean just needs nice carpet to finish it off etc) |

Not what I'd do to a mini, but very well done indeed. That engine bay... where is everything? It looks empty without the brake and clutch cylinders, and there isn't a wire in sight! And 100 drivable hp at the wheels (or so they say :). Very impressive. How long would one expect a supercharged a series engine and gearbox to survive though? I'm just curious. |
