The Japanese car may well have air con fitted.....just about a standard fitting over there as I understand it.....even so....the Cooper should have more power???

Not Sure About 93 Mayfair but my 92 Cooper is a little less "plush" than the 98 maifair I was in Sydney but mine has rear flip out glass I think the mayfair's back glass was fixed. But it had real nice seats & dash.

Not sure about early nineties, but later on there was no difference mechanically between the standard car and the cooper. The cooper just had every option as standard, plus the bigger wheels.

All Mini automatics had the same diff ratio. 3.26:1- but overall it's 3.76:1, as the drop gears are not 1:1 in these boxes.
