Hi all,
Having a brain fade...

Just putting a race engine together and having trouble setting up the primary gear.

I had new bushes fitted to the primary gear and line bored to suit the A+ 1275 crank. When I put the bronze shim I have on the crank it does not go all the way up to the end. There is about a 20 thou gap as it pulls up on the 45 degree inner chanter on the small radius at the inner part of the crank. If I try and assemble it all the gear is about that 20 thou too long and the c clip won't fit.
The mini manual shows a cross section of the primary gear with the shim in contact with the primary gear and the flat vertical surface of the crank.
It is definitely a 1275 shim and not a 998 shim as I have one here that doesn't fit...

Am I missing something?
