I have been advised that if I wish to put a 3.1 cwp into my gearbox i will need to grind some bearing carrier ?

Any advise or susgestions ?

Has anyone done this before ?

cheers Jon

The bigger pinion can foul inside the 3rd motion shaft bearing carrier. If it's a rodchange box it should/might be OK, but all remote change boxes need the carrier's inside diameter increased to 57mm approx.
It's a 5 min job in a lathe.
If no lathe you can grind it out by hand, it's only clearance.

If it's needed, you can get it off through the end cover.
