Can anyone recommend someone in Melbourne's East who would be willing to do simple one-of turning jobs?. For example turning small amounts off a shaft, reaming bronze bearings etc. Someone out Ringwood, Lilydale way would be perfect.
Thanks
willy

Looks like someone is doing the rear arm bushes on his early car. :)

I did mine in acetal plastic[like the rack bushes I sent you] much better than a split bronze bushs and they have the side thrust as part of the bush. As the shafts are different and definately worn I just re-machined to slightly under size and made the bushes to suit.

If you have any dramas let me know I have a few spare bushes/shafts to suit rears and also front arms.

Hi David
You're right with your guess what I'm up to but its not for the early car. These are for the 997 Cooper. Thanks for your offer of the bushes and shafts which I will definitely take you up on when I get to the 850. It's times like this when I wish I had a lathe but can't really justify the expense and having it sit around for just an odd job.
Thanks for your reply.

Give Lindsay a ring, he is just around the corner from you and has a well fitted out machine shop, and knows what he is doing..
