I recently purchased some Chrome trim for the roof gutter on my mini.. I found it near impossible to get it on, it kinked on the corners and basically is now not worth using...

Is there anywhere in OZ that I can get some Plastic style Chrome trim that is more flexible... The stuff I bought looks like it is alluminum coated in plastic but it still deforms...
have tried heating it up before hand however once its dented its dented

You can get some from minisport in SA:

http://www.minisport.com.au/prod213.htm

They also sell a clip which connects the ends. I've never seen or used this, though - just passed over it during my searches for parts.

to get it on is tricky.

I did it on my dads, you need to use a hair drier on high heat, heat up a section at a time & you go around the car slowly & bend it a little at a time.

it's not hard but you need to be slow at it, it helps to leave the roll out in the sun for a while also.
