To all our fellow mini owners, I hope my fellow Queenslanders faired well during the floods, and you didnt get damaged or lose anything. Special thoughts go out to our friends in Toowoomba and Brisbane, who might have been affected. Nick, I hope you came through it unscathed! Cheers, Tricky |

I heard a rumour today that Matt Read was flooded out. Any truth in that? If so, our best wishes go out to you Matt. **EDIT** OK, so I see there is another Qld flood thread and Matt is not too bad. See here: http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=68176&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30 Also, does anyone know how Ken Nelson faired? Also we are concerned about all the Toowoomba Mini owners. My sister-in-law (a Moke owner, so a good sort) is fine, but a lot of the houses further up her hill have had much of the soil in their retaining walls washed away. This could cause more problems where there are no actual flood problems - We hope no problems evolve here. Good luck to all our Mini and Moke friends (and everyone else) and our heart-felt best wishes to anyone affected. Cheers, Watto.[/url] |

I have been trying to contact Ken for the last couple of days to no avail. For Myself I can not say I am dry because of this deluge of rain we had but at least we are at High ground here in Jimboomba. I am about 3Km from the closest flooded creek. Any one wishing to park any cars or what ever at my place till the water goes away please contact me, you are more than welcome. I have plenty of parking area here. |

Ken should be OK. This is the Ipswich side of the One Mile Bridge at Leichardt and Ken is on the other side up on the higher ground. ![]() My son took this picture yesterday morning as he has a mate lives around the corner from Ken and when I checked this afternoon, he had no water into his yard. The Bremer didn't go much higher than in this photo. |

Hey guys, I hope you are all safe and didn't loose anything significant. Here's what happened to my workplace. I work in a small fabrication shop in Albion. On tuesday we managed to get most of our gear onto our truck and get it to higher ground. We also sand bagged all entrences up 6ft. We were unable to move our guilotine, brake press, cropper and bandsaw due to their size and at 4am this morning they saw 1100mm of water through the shop ![]() So tomorrow we're all in starting to clean up. Although there will still be water inside. Cheers, Cameron |

Hi all Thanks for your concern Mini Auto is fine but the Bremer river behind our home was only about 1.5 meters from flooding the bottom of our old Queenslander so had a bit of a long night on Tuesday. Moved everything upstairs and checked the rising water every hour. Slowed down about 3am wed and peaked at around 4 pm Started dropping around 5 pm so had a good nights sleep last night Have some less fortunate people to help out over the next few days Should be back at Mini Auto on monday regards Ken Nelson |
