Just a couple of questions, At what year did the lower valance have the cut out of for brake cooling? And also which cars originally had the amber indicator lens's? Bit of a steep price tag for what is essentially another "Cooper S" mock up? |

Bit harsh Hanra! Very nice car with true racing history. Someone has had a decent spend, regardless of our opinions. $53K? Phew... Great read though. Must have been teachers pet at english class.... |

It is a very rare car and probably deserves to be expensive. It may not have been built as a Copper S but it was raced in the 60s as a Cooper S after it was finished racing as a Cooper. (CAMS did allow cars to be upgraded to save costs) It might be a fake S but it would be the most valuable fake S in the country. And probably worth a more than a lot of real S's. The English Cooper and Cooper S came with orange blinkers, so they are correct. |

I remember John Leffler saying that Peter Wherrett had advised him to go into open wheelers - "there's no future in tin-tops John" ![]() KB |

If I had that kind of money to spend on a Mini, this one would certainly be it. |
