Post subject:  ebay - negative raiting bidders

Hi I'm selling some items on Ebay and on one of them the highest bidder has a negative feedback rating -1. What d'you all reckon, is this an excuse to knock him off or give him a chance.

It's up to you mike... If we're talking about $200+ then I'd be weary. But if it's $50 then I couldn't care less

funnily its just a bit over 200.
But I guess if noone deals with him then he has no chance to improve his rating.

Just restrict their payment types, eg. money order, cash, etc.
I always give them a chance if they are new, but give them warnings in advance.

Just make sure he pays you and the money clears before sending anything. That way the worste case scenario is that you can mark the item and Money Not Recieved and you lose nothing (ebay won't charge you) and you just list it again. No big deal...

Read his feedback and read the seller's feedback for the same item.

It may be the seller sold him dodgy goods, so he gave the seller a negative and the seller gave a negative in retaliation.

Also check his id history, see if he has changed ID's to hide bad feeback.

You can always kill the bid.

yeah a single bad feedback and nothing else for ages, why doesnt a person just get himself a new username and start from scratch?

Well I gotta sell the carbs so I let the bid stay.

i'd give the guy a chance if it is a single negative feedback... I myself have negative feedback (two from the same guy) and this was only because i refused payment as he only accepted cash in the mail before he even sent the items out (two week turn around - which was not stated in his auction) seemed a little dodgy to me so i decided not to pay... but to be careful yourself, obviously make sure you have money first before sending his goods out :) gee tha made sense haha

email him and tell him he is a naughty boy...or girl...

than ask if he is a genuine bidder.

eBay sh!ts me at the best of times with jerks, timewasters, whingers etc....
