Hi,

My mini does not have a fuel filter installed, and I am looking at installing one.

My concern is that i have a mechanical fuel pump and the pipe rises up near the exhaust manifold.

I would assume that these filters are designed not to melt, though i am concerned with installing one with the manifold so close.

Any suggestions or recommendations on which fuel filter i should install??

Thanks

Rocco

Im running a plastic one ( was on the car when i got it), it sits up pretty high tho, mine has a straight fitting on the bottom ( inlet ) and a 90deg angled one on the top ( outlet). But its sitting a fair way away from the manifold

The plastic Ryco ones were factory fitted from about 75 or so onwards. If you buy yourself about 300 mm of 1/4" fuel hose, you can so place the filter away from any hot bits.
