To go from drums, you would need swivel hubs as you said:- + S CVs, tapered washers, CV nuts, caliper bolts. Disc brake swivel hubs are not cheap here...
S drive flanges are in that kit.

Would this work as a cheap alternative to buying the $2k disc convo kit? buy this http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=35799# then the rest What else , other than the swivel hubs, would you need to buy? |

kit - $750 cv joints - 113.33 x2 = $130 bolts... bugger all swivel hubs i can't find the karcraft price for....hmmm.... but thats' still under a grand minus the swivel hubs.. are they 500 bux each? |

He has the cheapest freight out of the UK I reckon. Fit em, continue searching for some s hubs. Or.....you buy a kit of the Mini Sport Dealer in Adelaide, $600 he said.....Tony his name was. I have a set of Metro vented discs if anyone is interested. I brought them in from the UK tidied them up and then decided I would stick with 10" wheels. Rotors look OK and I have checked that all bleed nipples open which is something to be careful of with Metro calipers. Here is a pic of what I have. 
There are some pads, split pins etc but might be worth getting new ones as they are not great. There are no hubs as there are some hassles with Metro hubs so I thought it better to use Mini ones. I live in Singapore but will be back in Sydney in a couple of weeks so if anyone is interested I can try and bring them back else I'll bring them back some other time and put them on ebay. Open to reasonable offers... |

Are the swivel hubs the same on 8.4" and 7.5" setups? and... What would be needed to change from an 8.4" setup to a 7.5" setup? Maybe a cheeper way to get an "S" disc setup is to get a second hand 8.4" setup (which minimports is selling for $675 or something) and change bits over, if ya can. Is it just the same as that kit? |

If you were getting this kit from the UK you could also get 2nd hand swivel hubs at the same time. I was quoted 50 quid for the full 8.4" disc set up by a contact in the UK. I guess postage/freight is still gonna be the killer though. My 2c worth |

i'm thinking that this method would require your to supply your own local 8.4" bits.. i checked out the postage for a set once and it was in the 230 odd pound range... |
