Hi there, I am currently cleaning a roof lining for a friends 68 and there has been something spilt or leaked onto the lining and has stained it. ( may have been oil ) I have heard the vinyl can be sprayed. Just a few questions Has anyone done it? Was the result good? What brand product uesd? Any help or recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Cheers ![]() |

Hi cc2003, I have recently done this on my car and the product used was Tautflex. it is a water based product and it sticks like the proverbial ( make sure you clean well before hand ). It comes from a company called Viponds. Fortunately I use various colours and was able to mix the correct colour for the lining. I sprayed it on. You can also use vinyl ink that screen printers use to adhere to vinyl however this is a solvent based product. Brian |

All headlinings are like this after a few years. I think it is the glue leaching through the hood lining? |

I've used VHT brand vynal dye and it is great. If done right, even if it gets scatched, there is still colour as it penetrates. michaelb wrote: Quote: something spilt or leaked onto the lining and has stained it.
