the guy who bought it is selling it again.... even using the same picture and description (and a mighty tempting description it is :D)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 4547248511

here's my original post off ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 4524367552

I had a 'buy it now' at $2000 which disappeared quick, cos the starting bid was $400...

thats quite quirky.
did the guy bought it coz he wanted it?
or did he buy it to sell it,
or maybe he bought it and got sick of it, of which i can understand because my Trev has stranded me twice and although i think of giving him away I just cant.

There is no soft top or hood bows, and no rollbar - both of these can be easily sourced new, and second-hand rollbars are readily available - The moke is also missing tail-lights and seats, seats can be sourced from a wreckers out of a late model jap car

a quick tidy-up (paint is a little rough) and a few parts sourced and it would be easy to get registered

$6,800.00 seems like a lot of money for a Moke that isn't all there.. Me thinks around the $2500.00 mark seems about right for what it is.. Especially when you can get one already reg'd and going for around the $4000.00 mark..

But that is just my thoughts..

now cushy - who are you calling a wally, me who originally wrote that gem of literary prose, or the guy who copied me???

I thought it was worth 2 grand.... I had about 20 people ask for pictures, but no requests from the 2 guys who fought over it up to the finishing price

Profiteering, that's all this guy is doing. I have seen the same thing happen with other cars a few times.

The asking price is WAY too high, but some rich Yank will probably buy it.

Mokes are funny like that - the only car I know of where a rough one can sell for anything from $100-$2000 and a really good one anything from $2000-8000+ depending on the seller.
