Post subject: | Chrome Trim |
I recently purchased some Chrome trim for the roof gutter on my mini.. I found it near impossible to get it on, it kinked on the corners and basically is now not worth using... Is there anywhere in OZ that I can get some Plastic style Chrome trim that is more flexible... The stuff I bought looks like it is alluminum coated in plastic but it still deforms... have tried heating it up before hand however once its dented its dented |

You can get some from minisport in SA: http://www.minisport.com.au/prod213.htm They also sell a clip which connects the ends. I've never seen or used this, though - just passed over it during my searches for parts. |

to get it on is tricky. I did it on my dads, you need to use a hair drier on high heat, heat up a section at a time & you go around the car slowly & bend it a little at a time. it's not hard but you need to be slow at it, it helps to leave the roll out in the sun for a while also. |
