Post subject:  What exhaust for Supercharged

I would like to fit a nice shiny stainless exhaust system to my new Supercharged engine but the only ones available are 1 7/8" ID.
Fletcher or PlayMini
Do I need a 2" exhaust system or will 1 7/8" be suitable?
Any ideas please?

1 7/8" will probably perform better than the 2".
If the exhaust is too free flowing on a supercharged engine then a noticable amount of the charge can actually escape (dependant on the overlap of your cam of course).

Forgot to add, this will mean reduced low & mid range torque, and possibly reduced peak power too. This is different to turbocharging, where free flowing is best.

aren't you going to run it on GR's dyno? if so, you'll test with different exhausts to find the best one.

Pick your bling after GR has worked out the correct size for it

Yes I think so.
Sounds like a good plan, better get stuck into the engine rebuild then and stop stuffing around with the body. :)
